Our Answer:
Currently, GIA has no ”new“ grading system for jadeite.
Earlier, they tried to grading jadeite similar to pearls on a 5A scale, where 5A is ”A.AA.AAA.AAAA.AAAAA“. But there is no new news yet. Therefore, we grade jadeite according to Type A / Type BC / Type DE :
Type A、B、C AND D
Type A jadeite:Jadeite Natural
Minerals / texture/natural color. N ( Not Enhanced) 無優化
Type B and C : The type B and C normally together, it is mean the jadeite have :
B —(Bleaching 漂白）or B jade , Impregnation jadeite jade .
C—(Coating 覆膜）The coating Prevent determination of the color of the base material) we cal Enhancement (寶石優化).

Type D :
D—(Dyeing 染色）evidence of color and clarity enhancement is present)

Type E : Type E normally is not use jadeite, same business man use Aget or other stone. For this type, they use Treatment is done to enhance a gemstone to make its color/texture resemble jadeite.

Generally speaking, the appraisal institute only produces and issues jade appraisal certificates for ”Type A jadeite“.
